Mary Anne Durnin

Mary Anne is a multi-media artist, living in Plano, TX, who specializing in watercolors, acrylics, pen & ink, fused glass, and hand crafted jewelry. Her love of color is evident in her work. Diverse subject matter and varied style are typical of her artwork. Her choce of subject matter reflects her extensive travel to gather material and inspiration. Mary Anne is a signature member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society and the Texas Watercolor Society. She has been an award winner in many regional and area exhibits and has won acceptance into numerous juried exhibitions.

Mary Anne’s approach to jewelry design is to create “Wearable Art.” An example of which was featured in the March 2005 issue of “BeadStyle Magazine.” She is especially fond of hand made glass beads and incorparates them into many of her designs. This interest has led her to begin fusing glass for pendants and displayable artwork.

Mary Anne holds degrees in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has studied painting with internationally know artists both here and abroad. Her art and engineering skills have enhanced each other in all aspects of her creative life.
